Bellaire Tournament

Volleyball Recap for 2021

The HMS 7th grade volleyball team finished the 2021 season with a record of 6-18. The team had some great wins, defeating East Liverpool and Bellaire twice, Harrison Central, and Toronto. The girls worked very hard throughout the season and we hope to see them continue to work hard and return strong for their 8th grade year.

2021 was a great season for the 8th grade team. After last season, losing only 2 games, the girls were fired up and eager to get their 8th grade year rolling. They started the season losing their first two games to East Liverpool and New Philly, but after that, the team won every other game but 2, finishing with a 16-4 record. They never lost to a team twice this year and a highlight of the season for the girls was beating New Philadelphia with hard work and team effort. This talented group learned the value of working together as a team and trusting one another on and off the court, which led them to most of their wins this year.

The girls finished in 3rd place in the Bellaire tournament. Although it wasn’t the 1st place they wanted, they fought hard and played to the very end. The coaches and 7th grade team wish the girls nothing but the best of luck in the rest of their sports and as they continue on to Big Red!
