Greetings Parents and Families of Steubenville High School,
As Principal of Steubenville High School, I would like to welcome you to the Steubenville City Schools website. The website has been designed with you in mind – we want it to become a valuable resource that provides students/parents/families with timely and relevant school news and information. This website has been developed to ensure all stakeholders are familiar with our school, policies, and other procedures.
We are proud of our tradition of excellence in all we do. Along those lines, our staff embrace high expectations for themselves and set high academic standards for our students. Steubenville High School, Steubenville City School District and the greater Steubenville community have a common cause – a commitment to always doing what’s best for our students
We work hard to create conditions conducive to teaching and learning. Central to this task is the creation of positive school culture. This includes a warm, welcoming, clean and safe, learning environment that is inviting for students every single day.
We also recognize the importance and formative nature of high school. We are committed to creating opportunities for students to discover interests and passions, skills and aptitudes. We encourage our students to get involved. From our rich extra-curricular options to academic clubs and student government, there are many paths for students to explore. We are known for our outstanding athletic teams, musical programs, drama department, and academic clubs that will help students learn more about themselves while making connections and developing friendships that may last a lifetime.
To our students: Try something new, get involved, and begin the process of charting a unique path in high school and in life. Study hard, challenge yourself, set lofty goals and be sure to enjoy this experience!
Our passionate and devoted staff are here to help students along this journey. We encourage our students and parents to ask for assistance anytime they need it. We are all members of Big Red Nation and want to nurture and support each student so they can reach their fullest potential. Along with the faculty and staff, I wish you an exciting and successful year.
I will continue to send out reminders in the monthly school newsletter throughout the school year. Remember that the SHS Leadership team is here to serve our students and families. I am always available and I look forward to building a strong relationship with you. The faculty and staff at SHS are grateful for the opportunity to educate your child.
