Natatorium (Pool)

Steubenville High School Natatorium 

In 1994, Steubenville High School proudly opened its natatorium as part of a broader effort to enhance educational and athletic opportunities for its students. Funded through a 1992 voter-approved bond issue, the project reflected the community’s commitment to investing in modern, high-quality school facilities. 

The natatorium was designed as a state-of-the-art aquatic facility, featuring an eight-lane, Olympic-sized swimming pool, a separate diving well, and seating for approximately 500 spectators. Advanced filtration and heating systems ensured the pool could operate efficiently and safely year-round. 

From the school’s perspective, the new pool represented more than just an athletic upgrade—it became an integral part of student life. The facility provided expanded opportunities for competitive swimming, physical education, and skill development, while also reinforcing the school’s commitment to health, wellness, and excellence.

Since its opening, the Steubenville High School natatorium has remained a valued asset, supporting generations of student-athletes and serving as a lasting symbol of the school’s dedication to providing top-tier facilities for both education and athletics.
